The 11-member Metra Board of Directors, made up of members representing the six-county Chicago metropolitan area, meets once a month to discuss various matters. Biographies of current board members can be found here.

Regularly scheduled meetings of the Metra Board of Directors Committee on Finance and Budget will take place at 8:30 a.m. each month in the Board Room on the 13th Floor at 547 West Jackson Blvd., Chicago, followed by the full Board of Directors meeting at 9:30 a.m. each month. Public Comment
Public Comment is permitted at open meetings of the Metra Board of Directors or Committee on Finance and Budget. Public comments will take place at a time specified in the meeting agenda. Persons wishing to address the Board shall follow the procedures set forth below.
Public comment periods are generally held near the beginning of each meeting; comments at the Committee of Finance and Budget meeting should be limited to comments about financial matters. Each speaker will be allotted three minutes to address the Board. The Chair of the Board or Committee will keep track of the time and advise you when the time is up. The total time allotted for all such comments shall be limited to 30 minutes, unless special permission for any time extension is granted by the Chair of the Board or Committee.
Individuals wishing to address the Board at a meeting shall complete the public comment form. Individuals will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with a priority given to speakers wanting to comment on agenda items. Other remarks shall be confined to topics or activities that fall within the statutory authority of Metra.
If you have been selected to speak, the Chair of the Board or Finance Committee will call on you to address the Board at the appropriate time. You will be asked to state your name for the record. You may provide other information, like any organization you are representing, and the city and county of your residence.
Citizens Advisory Board
The Citizens Advisory Board meets quarterly and provides counsel on how Metra policies, programs and services affect riders and area constituents. Biographies of current members can be found here.
