The Metra Elevator Status Line is 312-322-6925. Using the menu prompts, you can check on the status of any elevator in the system. You can also call the Metra Passenger Service Line at 312-MY-METRA (312-696-3872) and go to option “3” in the main menu.
There are signs posted at every elevator site with emergency instructions, should the elevator be out of service. The next accessible stations (to and from the city), para-transit (P8) information and the RTA Travel Information Center number are listed.
