Metra will provide additional service on the Union Pacific North Line and Union Pacific West Line on Sunday, June 29, to accommodate those planning to attend Chicago’s 54th Annual Pride Parade.
Come on out and join us at this iconic Chicago event where for the first time Metra employees will be celebrating the parade’s theme “United in Pride” aboard Metra’s own parade float.
Parade organizers recommend arriving early and taking public transit to the event. Information on the parade and the best viewing locations can be found at pridechicago.org. The schedules can be viewed here.
BNSF Line riders should note that while Metra’s robust Sunday service will accommodate anyone wanting to come into the city for the parade, scheduled track construction on the line may result in platform changes and/or travel delays, so it is advisable to listen to station announcements and take earlier inbound trains to make it in time for the parade’s 11 a.m. start.
