Make Metra your ride to the Bank of America Chicago Marathon

Metra will offer extra early morning inbound and midafternoon outbound trains on three of its lines for runners and spectators going to the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Extra service will be offered on Metra’s Milwaukee District North, Union Pacific Northwest and Union Pacific West lines. The recently expanded Sunday schedule on the BNSF Line provides trains that will get you downtown by race time. All other lines with Sunday service will operate their regular Sunday schedules.

Whether you are running in the race or cheering on the runners, don’t forget to save money with Metra’s $7 Sunday Day Pass, good for unlimited rides all day, which can be purchased on the train or on the Ventra app (download it from the App Store or Google Play). Plus, weekend Family Fares allow up to three children 11 and under to ride free with a fare-paying adult.
