Yes. Metra welcomes students to take advantage of our internship opportunities.
Yes. Metra regularly offers apprenticeship opportunities for Carmen, Electricians, Signalman and Mechanics. These programs take approximately two (2) to three (3) years to complete depending on the craft and include classroom work and on-the-job training leading to a journeyman’s certification.
Yes. Employees are issued a Regional Ride Pass for free transportation on Metra, CTA and Pace.

Metra does not pay for travel expenses to interviews. Relocation fees can be discussed during the interview process.
