Service added to four lines for Pride Parade

Metra will add trains to its BNSF, Union Pacific North, Union Pacific Northwest and Union Pacific West lines on Sunday, June 25, to accommodate those planning to attend Chicago’s 52nd Annual Pride Parade.

Two extra inbound and two extra outbound trains will be added to the BNSF Line schedule on Sunday to accommodate paradegoers. Both the UP North and the UP West lines will add two extra morning inbound trains and one extra evening train. On the UP Northwest Line, one extra inbound train will be added to the schedule. The parade kicks off at noon at Montrose Avenue and Broadway in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood and ends near the intersection of Diversey Parkway and Sheridan Road in Lincoln Park. The parade route is easily accessible through CTA connections from all five downtown Chicago train stations: Chicago Union Station, Ogilvie Transportation Center, Millennium Station, Van Buren Street Station and LaSalle Street Station.
